Prof. Dr. Wim H. Gijselaers (born 1959) is full professor in educational research, in the School of Business and Economics at Maastricht University, the Netherlands. His research focuses on educational innovation in higher education, social determinants of team cognition and team performance, and judgment and decision making in management and accounting. His educational development work focused on the further development of Problem-Based Learning within Business Education. Next to teaching in the award-winning Master program Management of Learning, he teaches as visiting professor at the University of Bern (Switzerland) in a post-graduate program for Health Care Professionals. Wim is member of advisory boards of universities in Germany and Switzerland, and serves as chief-editor of the Springer Book Series Innovation and Change in Professional Education.
Dr. Melvyn Hamstra (PhD University of Groningen) is Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior at Maastricht University School of Business and Economics. He teaches courses on Organizational Learning and Organizational Behavior Management and his research focuses on business organizational topics such as individual motivation, interpersonal relationships, hierarchy, and learning processes.

Prof. Dr. Andries de Grip is Director of the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA), Chair of the Board of NSI, and Professor of Economics at the School of Business and Economics (SBE), Maastricht University. Furthermore, he is Research Fellow of the Graduate School of Business and Economics at Maastricht University, IZA (Bonn) and Netspar (Tilburg), Secretary of the Board of the European Association of Labour Economists (EALE) and member of the Labour Market Committee of the Dutch Social Economic Council (SER).

Dr. Selma van der Haar is an assistant professor (PhD, 2014, Leiden University) at the Department of Educational Research and Development. Her research interests are team learning, the development of team cognition over time, and team leadership, especially in multidisciplinary teams that work under pressure. She merely conducts her research in the context of emergency management command-and-control teams. She always searches for opportunities to link science and practice. She is passionate about designing learning interventions that empower individuals and teams.
Prof. Dr. Mien Segers started her career at the Problem-Based Medical School of Maastricht University as a junior researcher. In 2003, she became full professor Learning in Organisations at the Leiden University School of Social Sciences. In 2007 she became program coordinator of MSc Management of Learning. In 2009, she accepted the position of full professor Corporate learning at the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics.
In her current research she addresses the role of formal and informal learning for employees’ performance, employability and innovative work behaviour. Her studies focus on individual learning as well as team learning. She has been publishing many articles in highly ranked journals as well as editing books, for practitioners and researchers. She is the co-author of the recently published book “Bouwstenenvoor High Impact Learning” (Dochy, Berghmans, Koenen& Segers, Uitgeverij Lemma). She is the chief-editor of the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction book series New Perspectives on Learning and Instruction.
